To motivate, educate and inspire

Blind Faith’s mission is to motivate individuals to reach their highest potential regardless of the obstacles and challenges they face.  We aim to educate individuals to cultivate vision, commence action and successfully set and accomplish their goals. We also seek to inspire groups and individuals to encourage diversity and to overcome prejudices and perceived disabilities.

Philosophy

Blind Faith challenges the meaning of disability. A disability is not necessarily a physical impairment. A disability is anything that keeps you from reaching your goals or doing the things you desire and can include other people, personal problems both in and out of your control, and lack of support. In complete darkness it is no longer a disability to be blind, and usually an advantage. It is a disability to try to put a man on the moon without an understanding of physics, and it is a disability to build a company with a broad appeal with only one point of view. We can overcome these things with education and diversity. We must understand there is nothing wrong with having a disability, everyone has them, and we can overcome them with our abilities and education. The biggest disabilities are laziness, ignorance and lack of understanding.

(Testimonial)"Angela, you are an inspiration to us all. So many of us use our short comings as excuses for not doing or accomplishing things. You are proof that desire is more important than anything else. Continued success to you and thank you for answering personal questions." ~Avis Sell (End Testimonial)          Blind Faith recognizes that everyone has a different set of unique assets and obstacles and each of us has a different capacity to deal with adversity. At different stages in one’s life and depending upon the individual circumstances, even that changes. We do not diminish anyone’s obstacles or disabilities. We do not judge challenges as being lesser or greater and what a person has to overcome or what a person accomplishes despite their individual disabilities does not make them better or worse. It is just important to realize that obstacles, whatever they are, do not have to limit you. We wish to help by supplying you with some tools to overcome whatever obstacles stand in your way of achieving your goals. When you strive to improve yourself, you are adding to your personal happiness as well as setting an example for others to do the same.

We use the word faith in a secular way and leave it to you to apply your individual religious beliefs. Faith is belief in oneself, others, things, ideas, and the all powerful, whatever you believe that to be. You must have faith that you can accomplish anything you want within reason and  that, with the help of your support system,  life will be what you make of it.

Blind Faith uses prejudice to mean any preconceived opinion or feeling. It is used in a broad way to include people, things, ideas and concepts. Everyone has prejudices of some sort, either favorable or unfavorable. This is normal. However, many prejudices can be harmful to oneself, a group, or others. It is these harmful prejudices that we wish to address.
